Flat, flat, flat, flat . . . the whole world outside D&C is flat. Easy roll down to the Loire via the Chateau de Challain where we did not (but would have liked to - look it up) stay. Went by the back roads to get the full 'en France' feel, and rolled in to our destination to find the two restaraunts fully booked and 'fermé mardi' respectively; so back on the bike au supermarché pour du pain, du vin et du boursin (aka tuna salad). At least the mossies have dined out . . . on us :-)
Glad the only flat was the road. Better luck with restaurants, though it is "holiday" time. Hope you have plenty of tuna Mum
